Job Summary:

We are looking for an Account Section Head who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department within the organization. This role involves managing accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining the integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams to achieve the company’s financial goal.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations;
  • Manage the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements;
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports;
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations, policies, and procedures, and update them as needed;
  • Monitor and review the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing;
  • Coordinate and prepare for external audits, providing the necessary documentation and responses to auditors;
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the organization’s financial assets;
  • Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and performance analysis;
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency;
  • Liaise with other departments to provide financial insights and assist in decision-making;
  • Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations;
  • Provide training, mentoring, and development opportunities for accounting staff;
  • Review bank loan statements and monitor their periodical re-payment based on the loan schedule;
  • Advising and implementing best practice methods.

 Academic qualification 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance or a related field.

 Skills & Abilities 

  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel’
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Experience in managing a team within a larger organization

Years of experience: 7+ years of experience, including at least 4 years in a senior role.
