Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Group Finance Manager who oversees the financial operations across multiple business units within the organization, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role provides strategic financial leadership, coordinates consolidation of group accounts, supports budgeting and forecasting, and ensures effective internal control systems. The Group Finance Manager also supervises finance teams across subsidiaries or divisions, aligning financial operations with corporate objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of group-level financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations;
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to senior management, the board, and regulatory authorities;
  • Monitor financial performance across business units and provide variance analysis, forecasts, and recommendations;
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits at group and subsidiary levels;
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the group;
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights that support strategic business decisions;
  • Advise on investment, financing, and capital allocation decisions across subsidiaries;
  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, statutory regulations, and corporate governance requirements;
  • Implement and maintain robust internal control systems across all business units;
  • Monitor risk management processes and recommend improvements for financial efficiency and control;
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across multiple units or subsidiaries;
  • Ensure consistent finance policies, procedures, and standards are applied across the group;
  • Promote capacity building and professional development within the finance function;
  • Provide financial insights and advice to support business growth and operational efficiency;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO or senior management.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; a Master’s degree or professional certification is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Ethiopian tax laws, financial reporting, and corporate governance;
  • Proven experience in financial consolidation, budgeting, and strategic financial planning;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/financial systems;
  • High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven ability to lead a team and keep reporting deadlines.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management role.
