We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee the full payroll processing cycle for employees under seconded employment arrangements. The role involves ensuring that all salary payments are processed accurately and on time, while strictly adhering to company policies, contractual agreements, and applicable local labor laws and tax regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, resolving payroll discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, thereby supporting a smooth and efficient payroll operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees on seconded assignments, ensuring all applicable salary adjustments, allowances, and deductions are accurately calculated and applied;
- Ensure compliance with employment tax regulations and laws, particularly in relation to secondment agreements;
- Coordinate with HR and management to confirm employment details, including contract terms, benefits, and duration of assignments;
- Address payroll-related inquiries from seconded employees regarding taxes, benefits, and payment discrepancies;
- Maintain and update records of secondment agreements, including changes in status, locations, and terms of employment;
- Collaborate with finance to reconcile payroll reports and assist in preparing financial statements and audits;
- Prepare and submit reports related to payroll, including tax filings and year-end reports, in compliance with local regulations;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (HR, finance, legal) to ensure smooth administration of seconded assignments and ensure compliance with policies;
- Assist in the implementation of payroll system upgrades and enhancements as required;
- Stay updated with changes in country tax laws and secondment-related employment regulations to ensure continuous compliance;
- Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, and commission;
- Other tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance and related fields.
