Job Position: Senior HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior HVAC Technician who will lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems for a variety of clients. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring systems operate efficiently, and providing leadership and mentorship to junior technicians. This role is perfect for someone with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of HVAC systems in residential and commercial environments.
• Provide strong practical support in HVAC material specification, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, ductwork, technical drawing interpretation, installation guidance, and contractor/installer training.
• Review HVAC designs, technical drawings, specifications, and layouts, and provide technical input on equipment sizing, material selection, and installation requirements.
• Identify and diagnose HVAC system issues, including electrical, mechanical, and control problems, and provide effective technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance during the installation of rectangular and spiral ductwork, including the selection and proper application of related HVAC materials and accessories.
• Coordinate with MEP contractors, consultants, developers, and construction project teams to ensure HVAC works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Guide and supervise contractors, installers, and junior technicians, ensuring adherence to proper installation practices, quality requirements, and safety standards.
• Conduct or support machine connection, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Communicate with clients to explain technical issues, proposed solutions, and recommendations, and address concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance activities comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare accurate BOQs, quantity take-offs, material requirements, service reports, maintenance logs, and other technical documentation.
• Stay updated on HVAC technologies, energy-efficient systems, smart HVAC solutions, building management systems (BMS), and relevant industry standards.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical training to installers and contractors as required.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate manager.

Academic Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/HVAC/Building Services Engineering or related field;

Required Skills 

• Strong BOQ and material take-off skills
• Practical HVAC installation and site experience
• Ability to provide technical guidance and training to installers and contractors
• Good communication and technical presentation skills
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment when required.

Professional Experience

• 4–6+ years of relevant HVAC industry experience;
