We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Purchaser to oversee and manage end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations within the organization. The Senior Purchaser will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating major contracts with suppliers and vendors, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role involves analyzing market trends, evaluating supplier performance, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement regulations. The Senior Purchaser will also monitor purchasing budgets, manage procurement risks, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and align purchasing activities with organizational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectations;
- Place purchase orders and issue call-offs according to production schedules;
- Create requirements of specified packaging materials, both local and imported, based on medium-term requirements;
- Assess procurement needs, taking orders, estimating arrival times, checking stocks, negotiating prices, and liaising with suppliers;
- Perform periodical cost analyses and prepare timely reports on procurement and purchasing activities;
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition processing, supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and purchase order management;
- Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled;
- Research potential suppliers, compare and evaluate, and select a proforma based on requirements;
- Collaborate with finance and budgeting teams to develop procurement budgets and monitor expenditures;
- Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts;
- Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time;
- Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues promptly, if any.
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices;
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage;
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends;
- Other tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields;

Working experience:
- 4+ years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing/import-export sector;
