Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Talent Management Officer to design and drive talent development initiatives that support the organization’s growth strategy. The Talent Management Officer will be responsible for implementing talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, learning & development, career pathing, and employee engagement initiatives to attract, develop, and retain high-potential talent across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full cycle of performance management (goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end appraisals, calibration sessions);
  • Facilitate succession planning processes and maintain an updated talent succession pipeline for critical roles;
  • Identify high-potential employees and design individualized development plans;
  • Design, coordinate, and monitor internal and external training programs, workshops, and leadership development initiatives;
  • Manage the company’s Learning Management System and training database;
  • Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads;
  • Develop and update career path frameworks and competency models for different functions;
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and propose action plans;
  • Organize internal talent review meetings and present insights to senior management;
  • Track and report key talent metrics;
  • Partner with the Recruitment team to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires into talent programs;
  • Support employer branding and internal mobility initiatives;
  • Stay updated on the latest talent management trends and best practices in the Ethiopian and regional market;

Educational Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of performance management systems and succession planning frameworks;
  • Proven experience in designing and facilitating training programs;
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS platforms;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret talent data and provide actionable insights;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Amharic;
  • High level of emotional intelligence, confidentiality, and professional ethics;
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders;
  • Project management skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Years of experience;

  • 4+ years of experience of progressive experience in talent management, learning & development, performance management, or organizational development;
